Paul R. Marcus

Paul R. Marcus is the Founder and CEO of Marcus Partners, a real estate investment firm with offices in Massachusetts, Connecticut and Florida. Over the last 30 years, Marcus has been involved with the ownership of more than eleven million square feet of office, medical office, biomedical, retail and residential projects, 2,000 hotel rooms and numerous mixed-use developments.
In 2009 Mr. Marcus launched the Marcus Capital Partners Fund I, a $250M commingled, value-added real estate investment fund focused on the acquisition of real estate and real estate related assets in select East Coast markets. Mr. Marcus is a very strong proponent of value investing.
His community service work includes active involvement with the Trust Board of Children’s Hospital Boston and he is a founder of the Children’s Hospital Developmental Medicine Center Philanthropic Leadership Council. He is a founding member of The 484 Phi Alpha Foundation, an educational foundation, and is on the visiting committee of MIT’s Brain & Cognitive Science Department.
In 2006, Mr. Marcus, along with others, founded the Boston-based Autism Consortium, which facilitates broad based collaboration among 15 Boston area institutions and funds clinical innovation and research in Autism and other brain disorders.
In 2012 Mr. Marcus will service as the President of the Massachusetts chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP). The Massachusetts chapter of NAIOP consists of over 1,300 members representing over 450 companies that own and or manage real estate or serve the real estate industry. As a part of an international commercial real estate organization, NAIOP provides it members with valuable services including legislative and regulatory advocacy, educational programs as well as networking and business development opportunities.
Mr. Marcus holds a B.S. in civil engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
