Empowering families

"It is so comforting to know that I am dealing with people who really care. You really are making this experience bearable. With each day I am feeling more confident we will get him what he needs."

"Finally I feel like we are part of a team that is working with me in the interest of my child"

At each of our affiliated hospitals in Boston and Cambridge, an Autism Resource Specialist is available to talk with families in person and by phone giving them important tools to help those with an ASD both in the classroom, in their community and at home.

Our Family Resource and Support program includes:

  • Parent Information Packet: A folder of information is provided to each family seen in our clinical network. The folder includes information about diagnoses, services, treatments, legislation, insurance, educational options and a resource list. These materials will be made available in various languages.

  • Parent trainings: Trainings for parents are offered several times a year in Boston and surrounding areas on topics such as managing feeding, communication and behavioral challenges.

  • Resource Database: A database of resources in the New England region, including programs, services and professionals, is available through our clinicians, Autism Resource Specialists and website.

  • Regional Events and State Resources: This list of resources and events is broken down by region for easier reference for families in search of kid and family friendly activities and informative seminars.
