Event: The Charles River Center's new Autism Support Center Kickoff Event

Summary: Please join the Charles River Center in celebration of their new Autism Support Center. There will be sport activities for the whole family set up on large indoor soccer fields followed by an Ilalian buffet. Program Title: Catherine Sargent Behavioral Consultants Present: Building Friendships- A Social Development Group
Summary: These sessions will focus on social pragmatic skills that support success for children ages 3-8. Skills for social communication are taught in small-group, structured and supportive environments which are then generalized to other settings. Each session is structured with a schedule of activities where skills are presented through explicit instruction, breaking down complex and confusing tasks into more concrete steps. Children have a chance to practice skills through carefully designed activities such as hands-on projects and role playing. Additionally, less structured snack and choice times allow opportunities for developing friendships to be nurtured through reinforcement and coaching.

Program Summary: This program, specifically for teens and young adults with ASDs, gives participants the opportuntiy to experience a supervised farm environment.

Program Title: Students from Tufts University present the C.H.I.L.D Saturday Program

Program Title: Awesome Autumn Activities at the Bridge Center*&**
Program Summary: Make friends, develop skills, have fun. The Bridge Center (formerly Handikinds) offers a variety of activities, social and therapeutic groups, and strucutred programs including afterschool and weekends; Bridges to Independance is a program for teens and adults ages 14-35 where participants learn about and practice life, work, and social skills necessary for increased living independance and vocational success. This program meets Saturdays 11:00 AM-3:00 PM and groups are arranged by age and gender.

Program Title: Social Skills, Social Strategies, Social Coaching
Program Summary: This program, presented by Learning Solutions, LLC, gives kids, ages 3-18, the chance to learn and practice friendship and peer skills, play skills, problem solving, coping skills, taking turns, learning and noticing, and communication and socail language skills. Individuals practice and learn about sharing time and space successfully with peers who are grouped accourding to age and skill development. 60 minute peer groups of 3-6 participants will meet once a week with a ratio of 3 students to one professional. The programs will be facilitated by licensed and experienced Social Skills professionals. A parent workshop is also included in group session.

Program Title: INSYNC Communication Center Social Skills and Open Gym*&**
Program Summary: INSYNC Communication Center in Sterling, MA is offering a wide variety of programs for kids aged 3 to Young Adult. Groups are structured and taught by licensed SLP's and utilize Michelle Garcia Winner's Social Thinking curriculum. Groups are matched in 3 year age spanned and compatible skill levels. Program Summary: The Jewish Community Centers of Greater Boston presents a weekly swim class for children with developmental, perceptual, and/or physical challenges. Children, ages 2-22, are grouped by skill. Classes are taught by an adapted aquatics director. Program Title: Fun and Games*
Program Summary: The Jewish Community Centers of Greater Boston presents a wonderful opportunity to learn skills related to playing games with one of our most popular instructors. The program is designed to meet the needs of children who may benefit from a smaller class due to attentional issues or mild developmental concerns. Two classes will be held. one ages 2.9 to 5, and the other 6 to 8 years of age. Classes will be held at BAMSI Early Intervention site at Brockton and fees will be $20.00 per class.

Program Title: Social Skills*
Program Summary: The Jewish Community Centers of Greater Boston presents a social skills program is designed to meet the needs of children who could benefit from additional instruction in how to engage their peers in positive social interactions. This program is focused on meeting the needs of children diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome or Non Verbal Learning Disabilities, however, children with other diagnoses will be considered. A screening interview is required proir to acceptance into this program. This class will be held at the Braintree Teen Center on Pearl Street in Braintree and the cost is $30.00 per class.

Program Title: Teen Challenge* & **
Program Summary: The Jewish Community Centers of Greater Boston presents a unique program for teens aged 13 to 21 with developmental challenges who miss some of the life skills that their peers seem to learn so effortlessly. This program is appropriate for teenagers diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome or Non-Verbal Learning Disabilities. These classes will include field trips into the community to practice the newly acquired skills. During the upcoming year the follwing topics will be addressed by the two current groups: Group A - Transition from High School and beyond; Group B - Dating and all it's complexites. Each class is $40.00 and will be held at the Braintree Teen Center

Program Title: Teen Friendship Group**
Program Summary: The Jewish Community Centers of Greater Boston presents a friendship group designed to meet the needs of teenagers, ages 13-21, who have mild to moderate developmental challenges. The teens meet every other week with group advisors to plan their leisure time activities. They will also participate in regular community field trips. Past activites have included the use of the JCC climbing wall in Newton, hiking the Blue Hills, bowling, and visits to the MFA and Fuller Art Museums. The group will meet at BAMSI Day Hab facility on Stoughton.

Program Title: Hockomock YMCA Integration Initiative*
Program Summary: This program allows children of all abilities to come together as a group and play. The Hockomock area YMCA offers a welcoming environment for individuals with special needs. Children learn from "typically developing" peer role models and the program focuses on teaching tolerance, acceptance, mentoring and respect for all children. Activites include Fun Days, Aquatics, Challenger Sports, Fun-Athon, Real Deal and PIT Crew.

Program Summary: Outdoor recreation opportunities including adaptive/inclusive programs for people of all abilities in Mass state parks and sites. Year round programs from the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) Universal Access Program.

Program Title: Come Play!*
Program Summary: A play group for children under age 3 diagnosed with autism or a related disorder. The goal of the group is to increase functional communication and attendance, participation, and preparation for preschool.

Program Summary: NESA offers sports classes for children with ASD and related disorders including gymnastics, baseball, soccer, basketball and more! Program Title: Making Healthy Connections**
Program Summary: This program is geared toward Teens and Peer Leaders(ages 16-24) who will be participating in community service. This program will take place at the Greek Cultual Center in Springfield, MA and is a part of the Partners of Youth with Disabilities.
