Leadership and membership in the Consortium is both deep and broad.  It includes:

  • A committed Board of Directors with a broad base of experience—both as parents of children affected with related disorders and as leaders in life  science related venture.

  • Impressive research and clinical expertise through a clinical and research Steering Committee, led by Dr. James Gusella, Senior Science Advisor.

  • Rigorous scientific oversight from a prestigious Scientific Advisory Board, led by Dr. Christopher A. Walsh.

  • Dedicated donors who have invested in our rapid results Autism Consortium model.

  • A capable staff, led by Tish Tanski, Executive Director, formerly with Maine’s Governor’s Office of Health Policy, and The Jackson Laboratory, a genetics research institution.

  • Teams of Genetic Counselors and Autism Resource Specialists, led by clinicians, at each affiliated hospital.

The Autism Consortium is a revolutionary new way to break through the challenges of autism spectrum disorders and make major differences quickly. From start to finish our focus will be on the patient and family. We endeavor to see our discoveries translated into improved care for children with autism spectrum disorders in the very near future.
